In August 1918, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Harvey Firestone, and naturalist John Burroughs embarked on a camping trip through the central Appalachian Mountain range. The self-named Vagabonds enjoyed hiking, exploring, sightseeing and just being in each other's company.
