Preview of Chrysler Corporation "S Series" Concept Cars, 1962

Summary

Chrysler planned a complete redesign of its automobiles for 1962. Design head Virgil Exner began work on the project in late 1958. Tailfins were clipped in favor of a cleaner look, and front ends were reimagined. Though further changes were made, including a general downsizing of Chrysler's 1962 models, elements of Exner's S-series concept cars did make it into production.
