Dave Friedman has captured and preserved auto racing history through his photography. His work -- and his collection of works by other photographers -- documents key races, vehicles, drivers, and teams. At the 1965 24 Hours of Le Mans, Friedman worked for Shelby-American which ran Shelby Cobras and Ford GT40s. It was not the best showing for the Shelby team. None of its cars managed to finish the race.
