Summary

The Ford Motor Company sponsored a number of employee bands. In 1932, workers formed the Ford Pipe Band. This group of accomplished pipers and drummers competed throughout the US and Canada winning numerous awards. They disbanded during the Second World War, but reorganized in the late 1940s with several former members. The Ford Motor Pipe Band, seen here, continued to perform at parades, events and competitions.
