Summary

Scottish driver Jim Clark began his association with the United Kingdom's Team Lotus in 1960. He won his first Formula One race in 1962, and his first World Championship in 1963. Clark's second World Championship came in 1965, the same year he won the Indianapolis 500 in a Ford-powered Lotus. Clark died in a racing accident in Germany in 1968.
