In the late nineteenth century, Will Currier and two workmen used this small building to create finished shoes. This Newton, New Hampshire, shop was part of a larger New England shoe manufacturing system. Henry Ford acquired the shoe shop in 1930 and sent his employees to inspect, measure and photograph the building before moving it to Greenfield Village. It now resides inside the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation.
