1968 Las Vegas SCCA National -- Item 246

Summary

Dave Friedman has captured and preserved auto racing history through his photography. His work -- and his collection of works by other photographers -- documents key races, vehicles, drivers, and teams. In 1968, the Sports Car Club of America hosted regional competitors at Las Vegas's Stardust International Raceway. The track, built to draw crowds to the Stardust Hotel-Casino, lasted only six years (1965-1971).
