Inscriptions
additional typewritten sheet, attached to lower center of map: Dear Friends-- Here are the Edsel Ford Mountains on the map of the world. This great chain of mountain ranges will forever bear the name of your son-- the finest man I ever knew. These mountains are indeed honored to bear the name of so beloved and great an American. The naming of these ranges was an humble effort to show that which I can never adequately express-- my gratitude and devotion to my friend, who far more than anyone else is responsible for what success I have had. With this map I send my affection to all those near and dear to him. [signed] Dick Byrd label of framer on back, on brown paper cover: Cohen's Popular Price Picture Store Washington, DC
