Produced / since 1900, the trains are prized by hobbyists and collectors for their exacting / detail and historical accuracy. / In 1948, when mighty diesel locomotives were shattering speed records / on East and West Coast runs, LIONEL(R) introduced O-gauge reproductions / of the famous diesels. The Santa Fe Super Chief, noted for its colorful / "warbonnet" paint scheme, soon became a favorite. This ornament carries / the number "2343," signifying the model, style and year (1950) best known / to collectors. The original 1948 model carried the number "2333." / For decorative use only.
