This laser printer was used with the CPT Corporation 8000 Series Word Processor. With its single function as a word processor, these two components combined to imitate the familiarity of the typewriter. Laser printers added sophistication to home and office computer output, creating higher quality texts than dot-matrix printers. It produced up to eight black and white copies per minute.
