Erskine Hubcap, 1927-1930

Summary

Studebaker introduced its Erskine line for 1927. Named for the company's then-president Albert Erskine, the Erskine car featured a compact wheelbase and a six-cylinder engine. But the Erskine was priced somewhat high for its size -- a problem compounded by the introduction of the similarly sized, lower-priced Ford Model A for 1928. Studebaker ended the Erskine brand in 1930.
