Educator Open House

Special Event at Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation®

Join us for our semi-annual Educator Open House at The Henry Ford

Educators receive FREE admission for you and one additional guest* to Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation. PLUS receive FREE admission to Greenfield Village, Ford Rouge Factory Tour, and Giant Screen Theater, by participating in public judging for Michigan Invention Convention.

Check-In will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the museum’s Welcome Center. Public judging for Invention Convention: Michigan will take place in the museum plaza. Coffee will be available in the morning.

2020 Invention Convention: Michigan 

  • Educator Judging 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • Check-in will run from 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Invention Convention: Michigan provides students in grades 3-12 an interactive and interdisciplinary opportunity to use the invention process to create and pitch an original product at a state-wide convention. Students will build their critical thinking and entrepreneurial skills and may have the opportunity to compete Invention Convention: U.S. Nationals.

Educators will be given a chance to vote for their favorite student project and turn their ballot in at The Model I booth in the plaza. In return educators will be given tickets for Greenfield Village, Ford Rouge Factory Tour, and vouchers for the Giant Screen Theater. Educator judging will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. when Educator Open House closes.
