In 1863, Thanksgiving became a national holiday in the United States and many of the founding traditions have carried through to our modern celebrations.

Step into a Victorian Thanksgiving at Firestone Farm (c 1885) and learn how families like the Firestones could have spent their Thanksgiving as you enjoy foodways demonstrations throughout the day along with afternoon games. At Ford Home (c 1876), immerse yourself in the sights and smells of foodways demonstrations that showcase what late fall cooking may have been like for their family in the late 19th century.
