"The Beatles" Button, 1964

Summary

Stephen Majher, attending a convention, happened to share an elevator with the Beatles at the Deauville Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida, during their stay there for "The Ed Sullivan Show." He didn't know who they were until the elevator opened to a mass of screaming fans. Majher purchased Beatles souvenirs -- including this button -- for his daughters back home in Bay City, Michigan.
