Summary

American Automobile Association (AAA) started emergency road service in 1915. Motorists who were not mechanically inclined and needed assistance could call on AAA to help when automobile problems occurred. This circa 1955 stick-on car medallion provided to members by AAA gave the motorist peace of mind when traveling.
