      Explore a rotating collection of culturally significant vehicles. Currently featuring the 1966 Volkswagen Deluxe Station Wagon owned by Esau and Janie B. Jenkins. 


    • Pop-Up Exhibit | “How Long?”: Revisiting Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and His Legacy
    • Open through August 31 

      The life and accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. are often hidden behind the continual replaying of a few lines from his “I Have a Dream” speech. In fact, Dr. King’s real story — from unknown Baptist minister to American civil rights leader and international human rights spokesperson — is deeper, more subtle and more complex.

      Explore a changing exhibit of garments and their stories at What We Wore, a collections platform showcasing the rich collection of clothing and accessories at The Henry Ford.

    New Documentary | Wings Over Water 

    Free for members.

    Wings Over Water tells the story of the epic journey of three amazing bird families — the sandhill crane, the yellow warbler and the mallard duck — with extraordinary footage of their fascinating behaviors. Audiences will be captivated by the triumphs and challenges of these remarkable creatures that defy all odds.
