11th Annual International Bahamas Speed Weeks, November - December 1964

Summary

Ford Motor Company was disappointed after its GT40 failed to finish -- much less win -- the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June 1964. Seeking redemption, the automaker sent two GT40s to the Nassau Speed Weeks that November. Things didn't go any better. One car wrecked in a preliminary race, and the other blew a head gasket in the main event.
