Tactile Tour

For guests who are blind or visually impaired, a Tactile Tour of Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation offers an opportunity to experience the museum through touch and detailed description. Your tour guide will provide background and context on our collections, while making stops to touch artifacts such as the Rosa Parks Bus, Allegheny Locomotive, Build a Model T and Dymaxion House. Each tour is unique and may include additional stops.
On Saturday, October 27, two Tactile Tours are offered at 10 am and 1 pm. Tours require the purchase of Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation tickets or are free for members. Space is limited and intended for guests who are blind or visually impaired, plus up to two companions per guest. Registration is required.
Tactile Tours for individuals or groups of people who are blind or visually impaired are also available throughout the year with at least three weeks' advance notice. Please call 313-982-6001 or email accessibility@thehenryford.org for more information.
