- Is The Henry Ford implementing staff safety procedures at the Giant Screen Experience?
- Yes. The Giant Screen Experience will be following safety guidelines including the use of masks and gloves by GSE staff (Guest Service Associates scanning tickets and distributing 3D glasses will wear a face shield along with a mask), plexiglass barriers at the concession stand, socially distanced queuing to enter the theater, assigned seats, and enhanced cleaning of common areas and high-touch surfaces.
The Giant Screen Experience is a single-screen, high quality theater that is well-staffed from the start of each movie to the end. Our Guest Services Associates work in multiple areas of The Henry Ford including the Museum and Village and have been extensively trained in keeping guests safe all summer. - Are there reduced capacities for the Giant Screen Experience?
- Yes – capacity is limited to 20% for each film. During the film, a minimum of three seats will be reserved in between each party; seating will be available every other row.
- Do I need to wear a face mask?
- Yes. Masks and face coverings are required while in the Giant Screen Experience.
- How will I select my seat?
- Once you have entered the theater, a GSE usher will select seats for your entire party using our detail seating chart, keeping track of guest placement. The GSE usher will direct you to your seat location.
- May I leave my seat during the film?
- We ask that you minimize leaving your seat for the duration of the film.
- Will concessions be available?
- Guest favorites will be available for purchase including boxed popcorn, fountain beverages, soft pretzels, nachos, and candy; beer and wine will be available during evening showings.
- May I eat and/or drink during the movie?
- Yes! Once you are seated inside the theater, you may enjoy your concessions. When not eating or drinking, a mask is required.
- How is the theater being cleaned?
- Cleaning and Guest Services at The Henry Ford work together to prepare the theater, with Guest Services Associates cleaning all high-touch areas between all shows. All door handles, door release bars, handrails, and high-touch areas in open rows in the theater will be cleaned in between each show.
- Are movies still free for members?
- Yes! Members still receive free tickets to all traditional films and enjoy discounts on classic and feature studio releases. Learn more about memberships to The Henry Ford here.
- Do I have to reserve my tickets ahead of time?
- For a contactless transaction, online reservations are encouraged, however tickets will still be available on a first come, first serve basis on site.
- Why should I see a movie at the Giant Screen Experience?
- In addition to our clean and safe venue, the GSE offers state-of-the-art 4K digital projection, sound and seating experience for a larger-than-life visit.
