Summary

The United States Olympic Team Trials for track and field were held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum from June 16-24, 1984. American athletes competed in more than thirty events in an attempt to represent their country at the 23rd Olympiad. More than a month later, qualifying athletes would return to Los Angeles, host of the 1984 Olympics, to try to win the gold.
